Norman Lebrekt Needs Money

An ad from the “#1 classical music website, Slippedisc”

Norman Lebrecht, who has made a career off the decline of classical music, is finally going down with it.

His print and web publications, a decades-long litter pan of crude provocations, misspellings, gossip, clickbait, and ads, have become insufficient to sustain him.

For  $79 / £59 a year, or $165 / £125 for three years, you can now “take membership” in Slippedisc. This entitles you to “a daily digest of stories” cluttering up your email.

Or for a £1000 donation, you can get a “rare collectors item,” possibly pulled down from Lebrecht’s wall. (Reminder: you may also purchase rare collectors items using the same or similar money).

A subscription popup appeared in May 2024 on Slippedisc. As of this writing, it cannot be closed in order to read the “content” behind it.

A reader corrects yet another misspelling on Norman Lebrecht’s blog.
